Hello everybody ,

first great news : from now on we"ll be touring solar powered . Yes… ? We sold our old Berlingo diesel and acquired an MG5 electric which will be mainly  charged by our off grid solar house in the Ardens. We can even power our PA system with that car :).

Aurélie and me had a beautiful summer playing all these folk festivals. It is great to see so many people coming together again. In the first weekend of September, we organised a little festival weekend ourselves in Durbuy which was attended by 20 of the best Belgian folk musicians. We jammed and danced for a 72 hours folk trance deep in the woods of the Ardens. As someone in the public mentioned : "I've hadn't that much fun in thirty years ".

What's up this fall ?

In the first week of October we did  a fantastic mini tour in Normandy of 5 concerts playing for adults and children at the same time, .  In the third week of October we had a very successful  showcase on the English Folk Expo in Manchester. What a great town ! In November Aurélie will be doing some shows of "La vie d'une femme", a symphonic work that she composed and that will be performed by a 16 piece string orchestra. And to close the year we"ll playing the great Bal Final in Ghent on the 31st of December. Oh yeah, we also had news that our 4 week Norwegian tour will be happening in April-May 2024 . Let's hope that there won't be a fierce snowstorm as we had last year , where our car was buried in 1,5 m of snow.

To pack the agenda further up,  I"ll be touring with Laïs playing some 20 gigs in cultural centers in Flanders and Holland. Check out my agenda when we come near you.

This fall I"ll also be playing in Durbuy some solo's (always a challenge) and together with David Bovée.

And finally I want to mention the digital release of "Reiseiland",a beautiful album that I made together with Flemish folk singer Soetkin Collier. We composed and wrote the music with the two of us and then we invited Didier François, Sophie Cavez and Dajo Decauter to record in a studio in the snowy Ardens. You can listen to it  here

The Seven Gardens

after two years of composing, rehearsing and recording Tom & Aurélie  proudly present their seventh album with the label Homerecords. Due to the amount and diversity of the material, it evolved into a double album with no less than 21 tracks divided over 7 musical gardens. Each garden has its own atmosphere : folk, baroque, cabaret, humour, oriental, erotic en tropical. They became a little bit obsessed with the number 7 so they sang in 7 languages (French, Walloon, Flemish, German, English, Latin and Italian), the lyrics are by 7 poets (Prévert, Van Ostayen, Claus, Rilke, Aragon, Ovidius and …us) and they used 7 instruments (violin, viola d’amore, trumpetviolin, mandolin, mandocello, sitar en guitar) .

Each month we have released a garden on the major distribution platforms.

The physical double album is now available, preorder here
